THE LIFE SCIENCE 151 FIELDTRIP 2013

The Cape Point nature reserve  is the most beautiful place that I have ever seen!! The drive to Cape Point was very exhausting. On the bus we had loads of fun! we sang, dance and ate lots of snacks and just bonded as a class!!!!!!!! Then, the day started off very cold and unpleasant due to the rain but the scenery was still amazing, breathtaking and mind blowing. Our first stop was at the the museum in the nature reserve, where we saw the really cool old ancient artifacts and old bones from various animals this was really fun as we took pictures and different pamphlets to read about the animal parts that we saw, we also took pictures of us pretending to kiss and hug the dead animals
.Next, we climbed up the mountain , it was very windy and scary up there because the pathway was very narrow and I am afraid of heights but the view was to irresistible to miss. The view once again from the was really tremendously beautiful GOSH!!! It rained slightly but it was even more beautiful because of the rain
.This is also where we met tourists, and took pictures off them and I really could not understand everything or anything that they were saying but the look on their faces also tells me that they had a really good time and were just as impressed as me when they saw the view and beautiful nature. The next stop, we went to was to hike up the mountain to the lighthouse, this was also out last stop. When we arrived at this point we were excited to see the baboons, although I was scared it was fascinating to me because it is not something that you see everyday.Everybody took pictures of the baboons but nobody went too close as we were warned that we can be quit dangerous and are attracted to food
. We started hiking up to the lighthouse  and as we walked up we came across more Baboons and tourists from Russia, they were so happy to meet people who were from here that even they were excited to take pictures of us
.Walking up the mountain was very very exhausting but we were too excited to get to the top that giving up was not even an option! When we got to the top, everybody took pictures of what appeared to be the place where the Oceans meet. Next, we all wrote on the beeeg rock and the lighthouse, our names and the year that we visited the place. We spent quit some time on top at the lighthouse because we do not know when we would be able to reach that point again. this was memorable. We had to leave the light house to ensure that we reach the bus at time, when we got to the bottom me and my friends all went to the sauvenir shop that sold alot of cool African and indigenous clothes , toys and many more South African produced products. My friends and I wanted to purchase some things but bit was way to expensive and non of us could really afford anything at the shop LOL but it was still a cool shop.I really loved the outing and hope to go there again

Tuesday 27 August 2013

my experience? I have so many.Firstly,  in life science I have learned alot about the body not only the names of the different parts but also the different functions. Many of the groupwork tasks and assignment definitely helped me understand the work better and help me develop skills that I will need in my work place one day. It also helped me to learn that I can trust people and that I should trust people to do the job. Lastly, the pracs are awesomE especially things like this one!!! I mean who gets to blog as a prac in the science faculty? yah only  us  in the ecp!!!!!!!!!! and the lecture is the bomb coz its so chilled to convince her and shes super sweet lol.But on the other hand, it is also a bad thing because some of our lectures are pointless, and most is self study so it is pointless to attend.

Then, ISC eisshhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!  This is a headache of a module. I DO NOT appreciate it because I do not understand the purpose of it. They do not tell me what they want from me, apparently its a skills subject well, I wasnt born with a ISC brain so my skills must still develop.I also do not understand whats the purpose of staying till 5 if we done with the work at like 3:30?????? like i need my weekend you know!!!!!. Why did they change my teammates> i miss them :( so yeah but my facilitator is very nice and helpful. and also he is muslim so he kind of understands me better then the others. My new teammates are okay but some people have rather dominant personalities that clash with mine because everybody has their own opinion.

Mathematics.............LOL.Well the lecturers are better than my school teachers because they actually make the time and extra effort to ensure that we pass and that we understand and are comfortable as far as maths is concern.I am sure that if my lectures were my teachers last year, that i would pass and possibilly have gotten an A. It is the same math like I did on high school but I understand bettter because everything is taken on a slow easy pace and not like it was on high school where I had to pay r50 for extra lessons and learned absolutely nothing but i was rather more comfused when i left the building.I really blame my high school math teacher fir the reason I am in ECP. Then Mosard is hillarious with his phrases like "check yourself" and "mosard said" and most of all his funniest is " who can stand and say they dont understand". Nyika on the other hand, is very nice and funny  especially when he wants to call our parents because we do not behave in class, I mean am i in high school??.Then Thabelo has the coolest swag ever! thumbs up to the young lectures man . lastly my tutor percy is super hot i think i have a crush on him lol!!
